This kid we call Charlie Brown

I know I am probably biased, but this kid is the most hilarious kid I have ever met!

We went to Las Vegas for Spring Break and Dave's sister Jeanne got us some free tickets to see Jeff Civillico's "Comedy in Action."  He is a juggler and a comedian and he is pretty funny.  He starts out by balancing different objects on his head.  He asked for a chair from the audience, and took Charlie's chair and balanced it on his chin.  Then he joked that he was going to balance the chair with Charlie in it.  Well, Charlie thought he was serious, so he just climbed right up on stage! Jeff thought he was pretty funny!

Later, he pulls a kid from the audience to help him spin plates.  I guess since he thought Charlie was such a good sport about the chair, he decided to have him come up again.  This is the video we got of Charlie spinning plates:

We happen to think he was pretty awesome.

Some other hilarious things he has said lately:

Dave: Charlie will you go get me a Diet Dr. Pepper?
Charlie: Here you go Dad! I brought you two so now you have an instant refill!!

Charlie: Mom, I love you so much!
Me: I love you too, bud.
Charlie: Sometimes, Mom, I think I should love you more!

Charlie: Mom, can I go outside and play?
Me: Not right now, you need to eat lunch first.
Charlie: (in and angry voice) Mom! On care.com it says kids should be cared for AND have fun!
Me: Charlie, that is a website for finding babysitters.
Charlie: Oh, ha ha! I didn't know that!

Johnny is One!

This little guy turned one last month.  I'm not gonna lie, he hasn't been the easiest baby (that was Davey).  However, his cuteness makes up for it.  One of his favorite things to do is ride on my grandmother's walker whenever we visit her house.  He sits up there, so proud of himself and bounces and smiles.

We had close family over for his birthday. He thought the present were fun, but he really loved the balloons.  He seriously went crazy over them it was so cute. We could have just gotten him balloons and he would have been happy.

He even got his own cake.  He liked playing in it, but he only took a few tastes and then just made a mess.

At 13 months he is really close to walking. I am pretty sure he is going to be walking within the next week.  He can already take 5 or 6 steps at a time.  He loves to play peekaboo and to wrestle with his brothers.  He is also a climber.  This makes me nervous.  I got lucky with Davey and Charlie, neither of them climbed, but this one seems fearless.  He is so darn cute and we love him so much!

Brothers

These two have so much fun hanging out together during the day. You'd think Johnny would get super tired of being dragged around all day, but he's pretty good natured about it.

Reflections

Davey won first place this year in Reflections at Heritage Elementary. He loves art and his Grandpa helped him with his painting. We are super proud!

Charlie Brown

Our little Charlie is 3 1/2 years old.  He is silly, and loud, and full of personality.  Some fun things about Charlie at this age are:
  • He insists that his name is Charlie BROWN.  If you ask if his name is Charlie Milligan, he emphatically says NO!
  • He refuses to acknowledge that he is 3.  He usually says he is "2 and 3."
  • He always says, "That's the rules, that's the rules!"
  • He LOVES his Dad.  Dave used to say that Charlie was a Mama's boy, but he is definitely a huge fan of his Dad.  He always says Dad is his best friend.
  • He thinks he is big.  He is super excited to go to preschool this fall.
  • When I tell him he is so cute, he says, "I'm not cute, I'm smart!"
  • During the Olympics he refused to cheer for USA. Instead he said he wanted to cheer for China.
  • Gives awesome hugs and kisses.
  • Loves PB&J
  • Can be dramatic if he hurts himself, but a band-aid will make it all better.
  • Loves babies and is super excited to be a big brother.

The Rest of Disney World

I know I should have posted this a couple of months ago for continuity's sake, but I am finally getting around to posting about the rest of our vacation. Instead of getting Christmas gifts last year my parents took us to Disney World right after Thanksgiving. Animal Kingdom was Davey's favorite part of Disney World, but that isn't to say we didn't have a great time at the rest of the parks.  Here are some pics of the other parts of our vacation.

Nemo at Epcot
The Chinese Acrobats at Epcot were amazing

I know some times Dave thinks his job should really be "Inhuman Resources"
Here's Charlie giving Mickey that suspicious work
We've got a pretty good little driver on our hands in Tomorrowland
Charlie loved the Magic Carpet (basically Dumbo on a carpet)
Dumbo was another favorite
It was Christmastime and the Castle Lights were AH-mazing!
Charlie's favorite ride, Toy Story Mania!
I think these smiles say it all!
The 3D glasses sure were fun!
It was fun to compete and see who got the highest score!
Charlie loved helping Daddy!
The Osborne lights at Hollywood Studios were amazing
They also synchronized to music
One last family pic on our last night there.

Disney World was so much fun.  Even though it has been six months since we went, the kids always talk about the things we did there.  I am surprised how much Charlie remembers and he is just 3 years old.  Thanks again Mom and Dad for the fun memories!
