This post makes me so sad, even though what I am writing about happened over a week ago. So the time has finally come for the Milligan Family to move on. In May of this year Dave got an awesome job opportunity to become a Human Resource Supervisor for a company named Arch Coal. The big catch is that the new position would require us to pick up and move. We felt that career-wise it would be the best thing for us to do. Personally, I would be a big fat liar if I didn't say that it was really hard for me. We had a great home, in a great neighborhood that was extremely close to both of our families. We have especially realized the importance of our families over the past few years since we had a child. I also especially loved our neighborhood and the dear friends we made there.
However, looking on the positive side, Dave has moved on to a better postion which he is thoroughly enjoying. We have also had a lot of financial stress alleviated with the career change. We have now moved to Utah County (who'd have thought!!), which isn't that bad of a place to live at all. Although in my opinion, nothing quite compares to the beauty of Cache Valley. Our biggest hope is that this move helps to bring us closer together as a family. And who knows, maybe in a few years time we will end up back in Logan. Either that or we will love it here even more and never want to leave. Here are just a few pics of our old home and friends. I hope we can still keep in touch even though we have moved away.
I know, it isn't really that exciting, but we built it ourselves and it is where we raised Davey the first few years. I have to say I have formed an attachment.
Our neighbor Jim Ekstrom and his grandson Colin. They were always so nice to take Davey on 4-wheeler rides around the block. I also got to be close friends with his wife, Kelly.
