Charlie's Newborn Photos

Our good friend Alisha Ekstrom came down shortly after Charlie was born and took some pictures of him. She has done all of our family photos since Davey turned 1. Charlie is already growing so fast that even looking at these makes me a little sad realizing that babies change so quickly. Of course I won't be sad when he grows enough to sleep through the night. Right now the idea of five hours of sleep in a row sounds like heaven!!

I love this one. When Davey is playing he likes to put his hand on his chin and go, "Hmmmm."
So cuddly and peaceful...
I really wanted a couple of pictures of the boys together. We did them at the very end and Charlie had about had enough!
Such a cool perspective...
This one is funny. She took it at the very beginning when she was testing out her camera. The thing is, he makes this face all the time. How can I resist a face like this?

Needless to say, I love them all. If any of you need a photographer, call Alisha at Oakstream Photography. I always have the hardest time choosing which one I like best.

My sweet little boy...

...or maybe I should say, "big boy!!" This is Davey's preschool picture. He said the sweetest thing to me last night. We were cuddling on the couch while I was feeding Charlie and he said, "Mom, I gotta tell you a secret!" He then proceeded to whisper in my ear, "You're a great mom!" Then he said, "I gotta tell you another secret," and then whispers, "You're really pretty." This was all out of the blue, Dave wasn't here telling him what to say, he just came up with it on his own. Needless to say he made my heart melt. I am grateful to have such a kind-hearted little boy.

Thank goodness it's getting warmer!!

It has been nice to get out and enjoy this nice spring weather. The other day we went and bought a kite and took Davey out to fly it.
He especially enjoyed holding the string himself.
We've also been able to get out his bike and ride it around a bit.
This has been safety week at his preschool and they have been talking about wearing a helmet while riding. He is always quick to point out that riding without a helmet is a "safety violation!"

Although the warm weather is supposed to leave us this weekend, we have been taking advantage of it while we can!!

What we've been up to...

Cuddling together sfter bathtime...
Celebrating Dave's birthday!! Thanks for being such a great Daddy....
Holding ducklings at Baby Animal Days...
Riding horses there too...
Gathering eggs on Easter morning...
Having a musical parade at our friends', the Ekstroms...
Visiting my Grandma in Salt Lake...
Now that Charlie is a little older it has been nice to get out and enjoy spending time together as a family!!
