There's always one...

...kid who won't particpate in the school program, that is. This time that kid was mine. Davey had his end of year pre-school "graduation" yesterday. He refused to walk out with his class, stand with them, sing the songs they learned, or wear his hat. All he wanted to do was stand by his Daddy. I felt kind of bad, Dave took the whole day off of work to be there and everything!
Look at his face! He was not a happy camper. This is his terrific teacher Mrs. Hansen.
This is his other teacher Mrs. Barney. Davey loves her. She also lives in our ward.
Each of the kids had a balloon with what they wanted to be written on it. Davey's said he wanted to be a pirate. I am not quite sure where that idea came from. Some of the other kids had the funniest things on theirs. One little girl wanted to be a roller coaster driver, another wanted to be a chainsaw dancer a Lagoon, and one little boy just wanted to be "stronger" when he grows up. They were supposed to let the balloons go at the end. Davey did not do this either.
Finally this morning I was able to convince him to put on his graduation cap. Maybe the reason he didn't want to participate is because he knows he isn't really done with pre-school. He has to go again next year!
